Be Who You Are and Self Esteem Will Follow
By Nancy StremmelWhat is Your Image of Perfect?
It’s valuable to know what your vision of perfect, or your ideal human is. This is the idea you compare yourself to. It might even be yourself ten years ago, or it might be your older sibling, or someone from outside your family.
I have good news. That is who you are. We are all part of the One. He said to Moses, “I am that, I am.” All nature came from an idea which came from the One.
As we have ideas, we also create. Now, you might be saying to me, “I didn’t have any idea of this body. I always expected to look like Angelina or Brad,” depending on your orientation. But, you know that’s not true. Brad expected to look like Brad and did what he was inspired to do to be Brad.
You did not. You expected whatever you have, and you did what you were inspired to do to get to where you are. You might have said it in a negative such as, “Boy I hope I never look like that!” Too bad. If you said it with passion and didn’t immediately get rid of that picture, you might be well on your way to your worst nightmare or you might be there already.
We get ideas from two sources: our higher minds (known as inspiration, intuition or remote viewing), and our Egoic earthbound mind. Ideas are generated based on our desires. We have desires from two sources: Our heart-soul, and our Egoic mind which listens to our family and looks at what the Jones are doing or what the Jones have.
What is the Soul and What is the Ego?
Our soul is who we are as a spiritual being. The desires of our soul when we incarnated was placed in our heart for reference. This is why we “love that” or “love her” and don’t have the same feeling about other things. This is our guidance system.
The Ego is our logical, earthly mind. It thinks of itself as “I” but it isn’t. You might have experienced this if you have ever been in a life and death situation, illness or accident. Sometimes this happens during a powerful event such as a birth and sometimes it happens during an athletic event. Do you remember how time seemed suspended? Things seemed to slow down? This was because you were operating and experiencing the event from your unconscious brain which is directly connected to your spiritual identity.
The Unconscious is the link. Your Ego is designed to keep you connected to earth/time and “reality”. Reality was built by your parents and early teachers who were there to help you in the transition from powerful soul being to finite and helpless human infant.
Life is Like a Video or Computer Game
The programmer designed the game to give results for actions taken. This is what the Creator did on earth. This is a cause and effect environment. In the meantime, you have an avatar (identity) inside the game. This is your Ego on earth.
Then, there is the you who is the player. This is your soul identity. When the avatar is killed or dies in the game, your soul identity is still alive. You simply create a new avatar to continue the game.
And, like the avatar in the game, your Ego takes on a series of quests. Your Ego believes that it is important to win this or to “beat that level” so that you can go on. See, here’s where self esteem comes under attack. If your Ego believes that you ought to look like Angelina or Brad, and you don’t, it will continually attack you and try to force you to do whatever you have to do to get there. Thus we buy gym memberships that we don’t use, or join weight watching groups and don’t follow the prescription for long.
But, here’s the difference between life and a video game. In life, your heart’s desire or your soul’s desire is not to win or to beat anything. It is simply to be who you are. Our soul would never want to be Angelina or Brad unless that is who we are and then we would make use of the gym membership.
Once you know who you are and what you want, and accept that this is important, then you will have great self esteem and never doubt your next course of action.
We’d like you to visit a man who never had any doubt about who he was. See how this worked out for him. http://www.mindbridge-loa.com/universal_laws_guide.html
